53 door weatherstrip
hey. so i have major water leak problems on my truck that im working on and most of it seems to be coming through the doors.... i have the weatherstrip that goes on the rails in the cab but it doesnt seem to do much... i also have the door seals i think but not sure how they go on, i know they are glue on but is there more to it and how are they ment to be placed any help and pictures would be a huge help!!!

Hey Milo,
Check out Alan Horvath's site. http://www.alanhorvath.com/54chevy/index.php The line above the picture of his truck is a pull down menu the lists his progress of jobs done in fine detail that's a great resource from a guy that has done most of his own work. The installation of the seals is in there somewhere as he installed soem he didn't like, removed them and installed some better quality ones the second time........nothing like learning from experience! Don't forget the seal inside the door glass chanel what wipes the window and slowes the water from running down the glass.

I think I opened up the slot a bit and used liquid soap, I have slept since then as it was 4 years ago!
Take your time and do one at a time!!!
