Origonal K Series Rim Offset ?

I have found a set of rims down here that are meant to be off a 72 K20. Haven't been able to get a picture off the guy yet but he says they have 5 1/4" back space.
My 16.5" rims that aren't origonal are 4 3/8" and another (nearly) inch would put the rim edge and wheel weights almost on the tie rod ends.
The wagon wheel rims I was going to use are only 3 3/8" backspace.
So was there a semi standard rim that went on 72 K20's, or K2500's?
Maybe his rims aren't origonal either. Any thoughts on the matter appreciated, before I fork over $$!

Bill.

(VERY hard to find parts down here, so I can't just go to the bone yard).

C/20 and K/20 wheels are the same. That backspace doesn`t sound right at all, though.

Jeez Tim, I was up late, but obviously not as late as you!
Nobody got a rim they can measure for me?
Did a search but came up blank.

Bill.

Re: Origonal K Series Rim Offset ?

Looks like I'll be running wagon wheels for now.
You are right, if you combine all the full size pickups on the road, the amount running 8 lug rims would be a very small number!
The guy who had the rims has got a container full of 67-72 stuff, but in the past has wanted big money for everything. He has some GMC grill parts, and some longhorn bedsides. I've told him to come up with prices. We'll see how crazy he goes.

Re: Origonal K Series Rim Offset ?

Factory wheels all have the same offset. The backspacing depends on the width of the wheel.

110404235244 is the Ebay item # for 17.5" x 5.25" one piece 8 lug rim. I'm looking for the same size but in 6 lug.
