ecm for my 6.0l and t56 bellhousing
I bought a 99' 6.0l chevy v-8 about a month ago for my 68' 3/4 ton chevy and it came with a complete harness just no accessories. I have found a ecm out of a 03' avalanche for a good deal. I was wondering if the 03 computer would be compatible with my harness as long as I have it re-programed to run stand alone. I purchased a basket case t-56 out of an 01 firebird and nearly have it back together just no bellhousing. Any info or help would be great.

That PCM should work just fine. Just have someone flash a 99' tune into it. Not sure what you paid for it but you can get them with a stock tune and a few minor changes (gears, tires, smog delete, etc.) for about $100 all day if needed.

check out ls1truck.com
I seem to remember the 99 and some 00 model 6.0 motors were kind of a step child as far as flexplate/crank snout length... Not sure if you were aware of this. Have not read anything about the t56 and the older 6.0(iron headed 99-00). Might want to check it out just in case.
