Re: New ride
The hood strap is for pulling the hood off. I fixed the electric fans started detailing everything including the motor and the interior. I repainted the head light bezels and hooked up the sound system not that you can hear it over the motor Its nothing special just a Kenwood CD 200 watt amp and some 6.5" in the door. I have some MA audio 8" for behind the seats I just need a box that will fit. I will be ordering a new front bumper & grill shell and I am considering a billet grill but we will see.
I plan on taking her to her first show in Aug. in Bend Or Here is arefew other shots of her. Last edited by cl79c10; 07-18-2009 at 11:17 PM. |

Re: New ride
I just PM'd you back. What made you trade? They look like both nice trucks. Just wondering if you wanted the older year or the frame layin'. That thing gets down there doesn't it!

Re: New ride
Both I perfer the 67-72 and it doesnt hurt that it lays flat on the ground. I have been a mini trucker for almost 20 years so "low" is in my blood. I know some people hate it being so low.

Re: New ride
Since it's in the builds section everyone was probably waiting to see the progress pics before they started posting. Darn sure a nice ride, I happen to have the same wheels on my DD

Re: New ride
Thanks maybe it should be moved out of build section theres not going to be a lot of drastic changes made that worth posting. I am just going detail the heck out of it and install a new bumper & Grill and do some minor interior work and install some shiny stuff under the hood.( I hate when people post photos ever time they paint a part or replace a bolt.)

Re: New ride
How do you like the tall tunnel-ram intake? I had one on my 88(single carb) and didn't care for it, lost a lot of bottom end torque over a shorter intake.

Long@Low c-10
Here are a couple of updated photos of the trucks for those intrested. Took them both out for a short cruise today. Getting the c-10 ready for her first show in couple of weeks so I am redoing the interior and fixing a few things. I also shot a really short video of the c-10 running.

Re: New ride
Long&low made it too her first show today had alot of fun with my oldest daughter tomorrow is her 18th b-day so we spend the day together!
It was a local show with about 200 cars and everybody knows everybody (but us) finished 3rd in the 70 and newer truck class (no award for 3rd) got beat by a mid 90's jacked up chevy pickup (nice truck should have been in a different class) and a almost stock dodge warlock owned by one local club members wives. (funny thing happened as we were leaving a couple of guys stopped me and said they couldnt belive both trucks beat me and the only reason was they dont know me) The truck got a ton of attention by the folks coming to the show. Got a lot of the "how do you drive it questions"? Over all we had a great time and will be hitting another show next weekend. Here is a couple of shots of the truck. 6:45 heading to the show Arriving at the show around 7am around 10 am Last edited by cl79c10; 08-15-2009 at 10:17 PM. |
