Which one do I use

My project is a good ways away from this step but which cluster do you like? my truck has a 4-6 drop and if I stay with the currant powertrain, 406ci and 700r4 I'm thinking the autometer gauges. But I would also like to have a 5.3 with overdrive. If i go that way the the factory gauges would give the truck a nice look. thank you for your help.

Is it safe to assume that you are talking about a GMC?

No, it is a Chevrolet. The cluster with the autometer gauges is an aftermarket piece. can not remember the company's name.

Re: Which one do I use

Never "safe to assume" eh?. I can't give an objective opinion regarding the two gauge packages as I've never seen the autometer one but, being "old school", I'm awfully fond of the stock chevy gauges. I guess that why I assumed you were talking about a GMC.

The Autometer gauges will give you a more accurate reading of what's going on with the engine. I would say it depends on the look you are wanting for the interior. Aftermarket gauges are definitely nice and give it a custom look also.
