No licensing issues with the original type embossing/letters. We had already built the step tooling and since it is not an original replacement tailgate, we were pleased that GM approved the design. It does not look bad or out of proportion to the tailgate. Recent years original GM tailgates have the trademark a lot smaller than the 58-66 series so this looks similar.
