Another one for Texas!

Hello everyone!

I've been lurking around for a good while, and I'm finally grabbing hold and introducing myself. I'm Kenneth. 19 years old, and yearning to start something to eat up my time and wallet. I just moved up to Fort Worth, and I'm already loving it.

I've been looking into the 1970 Chevrolet C-10 as a truck that will last me a good while as a solid truck. The only thing that has been troubling me is what to look for. I'm not too familiar with Chevrolet's options on these trucks, and Chevrolet in general. I'm hoping to be a converted Dodge guy, but let's keep that quiet for now.

I need to figure out what to look for, when purchasing a used truck in that age, as well.

So far, the support on this site is amazing. I'm very glad to find this little gem, and seeing that VERY many people here have the same taste in classic trucks as I do. Think you can help me in any way? Reply here or pass me a PM! I'll read them ASAP.

Thanks for your time!

Right near the Texas Motor Speedway, so I'm hoping to have some sort of inspiration in my "backyard". Haha.

Re: Another one for Texas!

Right near the Texas Motor Speedway.

I've been looking through the FAQ's section of the website, and I can't really find a list or website, where they have a solid set of information of what was available from the dealerships for the 1967-1972 era of Chevrolet's trucks.

Anyone think they could point me in the right direction? By seeing that sort of stuff, I'd have a gread mindset to head into what I'd like to restore.

And thank you all for the warm welcomes!

Re: Another one for Texas!

I know I am a lil late But HELLO and welcome to the site. I also live in Texas just south east of Fort Worth. Mansfield is where I call home. For some good ideas and stuff to buy for the truck keep an eye out for the swap meet every few months at the Fort Worth Cats minor league field in downtown Fort Worth. GL with the truck..
