Aftermarket manual bucket seats 4 a 72 gmc???
I'd like to replace the OEM Bench Seat in my 72 GMC Fleetside Shortbed, with Bucket Seats. Something that has a little more support and reclines. I don't want Electric. I'm just looking for good old Manual sets.
I was wondering if anyone here has done that and what Year/Model Vehicle did you pull them out of? Is there a list of seats that actually work in my application? I assume you need the "Rails" that go with them too. Any pitfalls to avoid? Any pictures (if you've done this conversion would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! In reality, I'm looking to just drill (4) holes and mount the Rail/Seats and GOoooooooooo. Roger "RATIKLE"

Re: Aftermarket manual bucket seats 4 a 72 gmc???
I have verycomfortable factory reclining buckets in my`92 regular cab GMC.You can slide the seat forward and recline a tad while giving up leg space. Those cabs are deeper, too.I don`t see reclining as an option in a 67-72.I saw the same seat at Carlisle trucks with console for $100 in excellent condition.
Comfort is good.

88-94 fullsize Chevy/GMC buckets work nice.

Re: Aftermarket manual bucket seats 4 a 72 gmc???
I have a set of buckets in my Panel that recline, give better support and were priced right.I think they are from a Mitsubishi, but since I picked them up at a swap for $50.00......
I had to drill one hole for mounting though I built a couple brackets to raise them a tad and to be able to mount them. The drivers is power and works great. The drawback is that they are high back which IMHO looks a little off in a PU but they are OK in a Panel.

Re: Aftermarket manual bucket seats 4 a 72 gmc???
Glad to help. I've been looking for a change, as well. If you look at the home page of that site, they've got some pretty cool universal electric slider/bracket/lift units. A little pricey, but after looking at buying, refabbing, & upholstery on stock seats, they start to look a lot better...
