Re: 1968 50th SWB/BB/AC/PS/PB....

It always hard to get your time and effort out of a project when selling. I have some questions:

1. Is it running (fire up and run good) / drivable (around the shop)?

2. How far is it from being road worthy? (Your estimation)

3. Clean / Open 68 title for LWB or SWB truck?

Observation: I see it has a SWB 67 bed.

Hard to say at the moment... A little more info, intrested.

Thanks David

the motor and tranny will neet to be rebuilt. I have all the brackets, accessories.....

2. How far is it from being road worthy? (your estimation)

it depends. The chassis is complete except the brake lines. It was a running driving truck when torn apart. I was just going to rebuild the motor and tranny an put them in and drive it. But you could go crazy and do a full resto.....

3. Clean / open 68 title for lwb or swb truck?

i have the original title that came with the original lwb 68 50th. The title matches the glove box, spid and cab. I also cut the vin out of the old lwb frame just in case.

observation: I see it has a swb 67 bed.

you are correct. I have patch panels to install the marker lights if that's the way you wanted to go.

hard to say at the moment... A little more info, intrested.

here's a link to a thread showing the chassis build and all the parts going together.

Re: 1968 50th SWB/BB/AC/PS/PB....

IMO, It would say 2 to 3K and it would depend on the skill level/knowledge of the person intrested in it.

Definitely a huge plus for rust free sheet metal and the correct big block componets. Frame/suspension work is solid but, still alot of work to be done to get it on the road as a DD (work and titling).

I wish I could swing it, but like you I have three in the garage that I'm working on. But, were talking trucks, you never know...

Good Luck, DP

Re: 1968 50th SWB/BB/AC/PS/PB....

I beleive with all the stuff you have listed, the rust free cab, bed, etc, on the east coast someone will come up with $3500+ to buy this truck. It's just so hard to find solid rust free stuff out here people are spending crazy money to get what they need. Plus having all the BBC stuff (brackets, pulleys, heat tube, etc...) is a big bonus. I wish I had something you needed to trade for all that BBC stuff for my 72 Super. If you're not in a huge hurry to sell it you'll get at least $3500 for it. Good luck with the sale.

Well, as a comparison I drove back that long bed '68 anniversary from colorado with the extra bed for 2500. Don't know if that helps at all.

Re: 1968 50th SWB/BB/AC/PS/PB....

Projects truck values have dropped more than completed trucks since the economy made its' downturn. If you had the time (who does ) It would definitely be worth a lot more completed...I'm guessing a 7500 truck or more depending on finding the right buyer who wants a BB/AC 50th judging by ebay sales...
