I had a 74 with a 250 in it and I quickly learned to respect the L6. Plenty of power, I could chug around town all day in 3rd gear but it was wound pretty tight on the superslab. We routinely hauled 1500lb loads to the landfill with that truck. Sold it to a friend but we still do landfill runs with it. It truly is a workhorse.
