Chevy made 327s in a wide variety of configurations, and they could be as different as chalk & cheese. They were the performance engine of choice when I was growing up, and I've owned a couple nice ones, so they have always been just a bit special to me. Having said that, they may be unable to hold a candle to today's crop of SBCs, whether factory or modified.
