Peep mirrors

I'm looking into buying the curved arm peep mirrors. Does anyone have them? I know there are not big but will the be enough?

Re: Peep mirrors

Most vendors carry the "Peep" mirrors.

My daughter-in-law has them on her '70 C-10 show truck that she drives occasionally and likes them ok. I think she got hers from LMC.

My son tried a set on his '67 C-10 work truck and found that they were not worth a darn for what he needed, to tow trailers.

They do look good but most have found that they are not real functional.

Try them and see how you like them.

Re: Peep mirrors

I've got them on both my 68 GMC and 60 Chevy. Never had a problem since these trucks have so much viewing glass all round without obstructions. I'm the type who glances left or right when changing lanes anyway.

Yes, you do have to get used to them and are not functional if you have a big trailer behind you but neither are any of the short wider mirrors.

Re: Peep mirrors

Use them, but make sure you still have one on the inside. Big loads in the bed and/or a trailer to pull make you cuss 'em. I still like mine.

Re: Peep mirrors

Well for what I going to use them for, which is not a daily driver I think they will be ok not going to be doing any towing.

Re: Peep mirrors

Had them on the 48 at one time and on My old 51 Merc at one time. Loved the look but couldn't see behind me worth a hoot on either rig and took them off both. Actually I think it was the same mirror that just got moved from one car to another to keep it legal to drive in Wa state.
