Got some new parts for the blazer

I was finally able to open my boxes of blazer parts I got last month. Was so busy with work that it superseded everything else. Well, today I opened the boxes and was really excited at what I recieved.

First, all parts are from a 72 2wd that a guy in Cali cut up cause the body was rusted on the windshield and tops of the bed (He'd sold the frame and VIN already)

Rocker/torsion box end caps and side panels, rear seat brackets

RustFree Rocker box take-offs, tail gate strip, and bed floor.

Front bed support, bed patch between wheel wells, rear bed patch.

Torsion/Rocker boxes. No rot, just very minimal surface rust and some elongated bolt holes.

I am really excited. I only need to get the gas tank and lines, and body bushings and I can get started on restoring it this fall and winter. Hoping to have the body done by the spring.

Good find - strange that somebody took the time to get those items off a rusty truck.

Re: Got some new parts for the blazer

Yeah. The guy I guess has 6 other blazers and buys and sells parts a lot (found him on ebay)

The boxes are very solid with no weak spots or major flaking at all. My boxes are currently no more than an inch of the inner edge and and inch and a half of the front edge, so these will help greatly.

I will probably start a build thread once I actually get into the project. So far it's been just collecting parts and messing around with easy stuff (taking it apart.) I am going to have to tackle a bunch of stuff I haven't done before, but it should be fun. Current project is cleaning and organizing the garage so I can get this started.
