I think the gold looks good. Not sure about the clips... Try Rick @chevymetal 360-609-4911. I don't know if he has them or not. Later

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Go for the GOLD! Man, it works. Not something I think I would have the 'nads to do, but it's exactly how I envisioned it in my mind. Run with it dude-- sometimes being different is a good thing-- really makes your truck stand out as being different and custom, while still managing to be subtle. Perfect mod, IMHO...

Now, the AF bomber jacket leather, I dunno. I think it may clash, but I'd have to see a sample of the color you plan on running. Will the interior be body color, or something else?

I love it... for what my opinion is worth.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

The holes for the trim are way too small. All of the ones I've removed have much larger holes so the clips are probably correct. As for the trim stripe color, I like the black, but won't bang on the gold.

On the red emblem, I think it would look kinda cool to paint the red area to match the body color.

Sorry man, I'm with the mob on the gold thing. I actually like the red emblems and the stock color in the moldings. BUT, you've shown that you have excellent taste, attention to detail. You can't please everyone, so go with what you like. It's gonna be way-cool no matter what. Congrats!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread

Sorry about the double post. It was hidden on the next page, soI re did it. Anyway, I went out and took a pic of one of my tail lights that had the trim removed. It was the same on both blazers, but they are 71-72 style and I don't know if there is a difference. I don't have the original trim to compare the clips, sorry. Looks like the holes are 5/16".
