Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
I agree with jwall wait for sema. Test before you go out but have it a show virgin sema. Debuting at sema is like being a nerd in high school but taking the cheer leading captain to prom. It will probably only happen once for us at home hobbyists.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
I agree Mike, use the time to test the truck rather than worry about good guys. There will be no pressure and you can take the time you need. I am SO jealous......I would love to get ours to SEMA when it's done! Looking good man, hammer down!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
Might as well hit GG's to make sure the bugs are out so you don't have to push it around at SEMA. It seems like there is always something at the last minute, so you never know.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
it would be a good idea to test it a couple a days first to work out the bugs maibe even leave the front and the bed off the first few outings (use some bend pieces of rubber or sheetmetal for fenders to prevent stuff comming of the wheels hitting the paint ) for quick acces during the first runs
allmost everything is new on the truck so you shouldnt expect to many problems other than small leaks or piping rattling on the frame , leaving everything off makes them eazier to spot and get too

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
I doubt it. If anything people will be watching for it to check it out. I doubt so many people will have seen it at GG's and then not want to see it at SEMA. You'll be fine.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
SEMA.....usually only one shot at that and that would be a future "MONEY" shot....Goodguys will come back to DFW in March...but we all want to see it!!! If doable I don't see a problem with g.g. 1st though if truck is a go..Your sponsors may want to chime in.......jim

Good Guys. You lose no cool points at SEMA for debuting at another show, and you get to work out the kinks (and I get to see it in person)...

If you can be 100% done without rushing....GG...if you will have to rush and potentially scratch/damage something...wait for SEMA...

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
I would say at thios point "Dont Rush" if it is completed and ready to go then show it at GG if not then "Sema" should be your next goal date.....

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
SEMA... you've only got one debut & not just anyone can debut @ SEMA... GG will be there.
I also agree that your sponsors might like a SEMA debut too. |

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread (CLOUD 9)
I agree with debut it at SEMA, you only get one chance at that. You can work out all the bugs at your house and around the neighborhood. Don't rush it just get it done for SEMA.....

Mike... I'm going to have to request that every time you post a comment you will need to post a picture. Another page with no pics is unacceptable.
