Fuel pump help
Returning my 82 k20 truck to dual tank status PO just had passenger side hooked up. Need to know if I need to change fuel pump, i.e. change my 2 outlet pump to a 3, and what about my fuel pump for my new drivers side fuel tank??? I am sure someone has had this issue also, any info or help would be appreciated THANKS

the fuel pump remains the same the thing you have to find out is if they removed the crossover valve underneath. there are two styles and they are shown on the auto zone website. On my 82 2wd it was the unit marked #2

Yo! Rusty is correct, pump stays the same. My '78 has a return line so my tanks have in, out, and vent lines. My valve is a six port: in and out left tank, in and out right tank, and the valves' output to the pump and inlet from the return line. Mine's from JC Whitney.
It's GOOD to have two tanks! Be sure to alternate their use so that they don't collect moisture, or allow the gas to go bad. Todd.
