Uh fellas, those original mounts were not big block mounts.

Here are the big block mounts.




Length of tailshaft has zero to do with trans mounting to the crossmember. The mount is in the same place regardless of tailshaft length.

Small block mounts will mount in the three front holes without drilling. If you are having to drill holes to mount them you either have six cylinder mounts or you have them reversed left to right side. Post pictures of your small block mounts and I can tell you if they are really small block mounts.
