Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

I ordered my tanks yesterday. Good people to work with. For the price of a blazer tank and all the extra parts needed to install,The price for this tank was a bunch better.
Thanks

Just wanted to say Thank You to Everyone that ordered. We are hard at work getting these tanks moving. If all goes well we should start shipping next week sometime.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

Quick question Dave. There are two ports on the top of my tank, do I use one as a vent and plug the other? Or is there something else that secondary port should be used for?

Mine is the basic non-EFI tank with a top fill, sending unit port, and 2 vents. Thanks.

The fitting closest to the fill is the Vent and the other is a return if needed. Plug it off if you don't plan to use it. You can use the Nylon Plugs that we supply for shipping purposes since they are fuel resistant.

My tank came in today. Very nice, and very high quality workmanship!
I wish I could install it right away, but I have a long way to go.

Re: Boyd Welding-67-72 Rear Mount Aluminum Tank

Mine is a steel bed and I allready had the bed off so it was a real easy install. When the bed goes back on I will be cutting a hole in the bed and making a flush mount door in the floor to acces the filler cap.
