Can any one tell me if the v6 and v8 engine mounts on the cross member are the same. I have the mounts but not sure what ones i have.

If you're talking about the I6 bolt on towers/perches, the following link should help:

As far as I know all the GMC's with the big V6 engine had weld-in motor mounts that attached to the frame.
