Window regulator problem

I haven't had window felt in my '67 for like 8 years lol. A buddy of mine got me a window felt kit, and he best part, it was free! I knew that my regulator was always visable when rolled up. Well, it goes up till it knocks the felt off the inside of the truck. Now, the regulators are bad, and the window won't stay in the tracks. The plastic rollers are broken on both side windows. I'm going to buy them, but if mine still stayed put they are still too high up, and the window is still cracked. How do I fix the gap and not see the regulator?

Re: Window regulator problem

If you mean that you can see down inside the door from either side of the glass when the window is up, then you need internal and external window seals, that will stop you seeing the regulator. Just guessing here....but If your window rolls up to far you may not have the felt window channel all the way round.

Re: Window regulator problem

Also the wheels on the regulator being bad will allow the regulator to roll up slightly higher. This may be why it comes up far enough to knock the felts off.

Re: Window regulator problem

I thought it may be the broken rollers that cause this. I still have like a quarter inch gap and he felt is still pushed off. I'll just take the inside piece off till I get the new regulators.
