Driveshaft options for 63 C20 MT w/coils
Curious if anyone knows if the 2-piece drive shaft from a 72 C20 with leafs will work in the 63 with coils for truck 4-speed? I have the back half but have lost the front half, and I think I have the one piece that came out of my 63, but it "slipped" into the rear of the 3-speed, whereas the four-speed has a yoke. what is the simplest/best option? I am not lowering or raising.

Re: Driveshaft options for 63 C20 MT w/coils
No problem.....after I posted I saw that yours is a C20.
Anyway, I would go with a 2 piece driveshaft with the HD carrier bearing. I know you said you don't have the front half, but try and see if you can find one. If not let me know, I have a spare or two from '63-'66's. Even though the '72 had leafs, the wheelbase is the same, so I'm thinking it should work without modification.

Does your trailing arm crossmember have the mounting plate on it for the carrier bearing? Would you want a new U-joint and carrier bearing, or do you want to do that yourself?

My crossmember has no mount for the bearing, so I will need that too. If you have a good or new bearing, may as well include that.
