Re: Why do you like your year truck?
Building a 67, my dad bought a brand new 67 burban with a 283 and a glide, I was 8 years old and fondly remember going to Pontiac Michigan to pick it up, he had Zebart under coating put on it, I still remember that smell and everything about the ride home.

Building my dad's old 1967 chevy swb fleetside. I remember when I was a kid riding in the back of it on country summer days.

Re: Why do you like your year truck?
I like them all... but like the 72 best...
Why you ask? Because it's the one I have. And I guess I got lucky, because it's a 72, and the rear view mirror is a 71 style. Guess I got one of the first ones off the line and they were using up some of the 71 parts.

Re: Why do you like your year truck?
I like all 67-72's. Also, these were the last heavy steel trucks and better body style of all the previous and later years imo.

Re: Why do you like your year truck?
Personally there isnt a chevrolet or gmc i dont like now out of the 67-72's i like the 69 and 70's and the 71 72's more than the 67 and 8's 1 reason is cause i own a 70 c10 and number 2 is there was an old guy who owned a tire shop in town and had a 71 cheyenne longbox and he was well known in the town and was real nice and so was the truck and he had owned it since new and was in damn good shape for in nebraska for about 35+ years

Re: Why do you like your year truck?
Sorry to say, it really didn't matter to me. All I knew is I wanted a truck of this series. Anywhere from 67-72 would have suited me just fine. It could have been a step side or fleet side, I didn't care. Only one option I had to have....and that was it had to be a short bed. I could have cared less what year it was. At the time I didn't know much about small window vs. no marker lights on the 67's to the different grills vs the squarness of the hoods of the 69-72's. I just wanted a truck I could afford that was in good shape and not rotted to death. Now I'm learning more about them I like the 67-68's. See me, I'm a simple bastard and not hard to please. I didn't care about numbers matching or how few of a number Chevy made. As long as it was in my price range and the price was equal to the condition of the truck I was buying it no matter what year, color, options, etc.

Re: Why do you like your year truck?
I gotta 70 so I like 70's. Other years have their advantages though. 67 have no side markers. I like that. 71-72's have front disk brakes. Of course most 67's had that awful small back window and 71-72's had lot's more smog equipment. For me the best of all worlds would be a 69-70 with the side markers smoothed and some nice 6 lug front disk brakes. I don't have either but I sure would like to do that someday.

Re: Why do you like your year truck?
I really like them all.
I have a 67 which is unique by being a first design change and still different than the 68's, and I have a 72 for the last year of production of the best trucks that Chevy has made. Now all I need is a 69-70 so I can have all three grilles represented. Trust me, I am passively looking and I have already cleared it with the wife!
