Antenna Location???

Where on the cowl cover does the original antenna go? I have a cowl cover with a hole for the antenna and will need to drill one before it gets painted. A picture would probably help.

Thanks

Re: Antenna Location???

If you are buying an antenna, there is a template that comes with the kit so you can drill the hole on the cowl.

Re: Antenna Location???

IMHO I like the clean no antennea look. I am using a hidden antennea under the dash.

Thealien - What kind of reception do you get with the hidden antenna?

I just bought an aftermarket MA/FM antenna from AutoZone ($10), but I need to tell the body shop where to install it on the cowl cover.

How much are the hidden antenae?

Thanks,

Thanks,

It works pretty good, not quite as good as a standard antennea but it is acceptable to me. Don't get any of the powered ones they don't seem any better. I believe the one I have is called tune trapper and is what a buch of us use on our Harley full dressers.

Re: Antenna Location???

According to the assembly manual, 6 1/2" back from front edge and a little less than 1 1/4" from side (belt) line, for center of the hole. PM sent.
