Yor reckin' he's traveled that trail before? He was going a lot faster than I would have been going!!!!
Pretty cool though seeing a old blazer tearing up the trail.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

You betcha I would be standing clear of the trail. Something happen and hit a tree going that fast, parts would fly everywhere. Hope you would be behind it when it hit.

Re: Oldchev4x4`s Blazer in Action

Yeah,it`s a race. It`s pretty much stand near a tree big enough to stop a raging truck so you can put it between ya.The`70 blazer belongs to randy, otherwise known here as oldchev4x4.I posted a little ditty about the race in the 4wd forum, but figureed the Blazer crowd would get a kick out of this. The race was in central PA and is called the Line Mountain 7-Miler.The coarse changes every year and it`s closer to 10 miles now. This was the 39th year.it takes about 3 hours to complete.it`s 4 laps and the winner ran about 38-39 minute laps. Most don`t finish and many spend as much time wrenchin`on the trail or in the pit area,if they can limp it there,as they spend racing. This race breaks trucks!

^I t y p e r e a l s l o w.

Andy,I just learned that about your Longhorn.Jeff is the co-pilot.It`s a small world wide web, huh?
That`s the smooth part of the race. It`s actually used as a driveway by a club member who build a wildness cabin along the track.so,that black stuff is crusher run from coal country.it`s a pretty steep uphill.kinda hard to tell. It`s straight up the mountainside,8% grade is what I`d guess.

I remember Jeff... he's also a member here, but I can't remember the username.
Jeff actually grabbed a part of the 'ole longhorrn... he has (or at least had) the radio delete plate off of it.
Both Randy and Jeff are pretty cool guys if you ask me.

Re: Oldchev4x4`s Blazer in Action

That WAS a 10 mile run for beer .Jeff`s user name is GTO Mechanic. His brother Jim is Jimmer64,IIRC.Randy,Jeff,and Jim are great folk.If anyone recalls, there was a thread called "Blue Blazer Conspiracy" back in`08.That was about a few of us Maryland guys heading up for jim`s parts extravaganza that ended up in randy`s garage for a redecorating party.Jeff has a blue Blazer and Randy has two. That trip lead to us going to see Randy do this race last year and we came back for more this year. It`s a blast!
