custom heater
Has anybody made a custom heater for our trucks, I live in california so i don't
need a massive system for heat and don't want AC. I was thinking of using bits and peaces of the original unit. I have filled in all the holes on the fire wall for the factory setup. Mike

I think I've seen small units made for the hot rods and kit cars that could be used. Check out Southern Rods or similar.

Flex-A-Lite makes a nice little street rod heater that I was thinking about using for mine.

Hey diggertodd, do you have any pics of the install?? I would be curious to see how it fit and how you attached it to the dash/firewall.

AGM at www.acdelete.com has a heater system that can be used as an A/C delete setup but uses less space than the stock unit for a clean look. They say the OEM A/C can be reinstalled, if you like. I am not replacing my OEM air unit, but will go with an aftermarket unit, maybe doing heat/defrost only 'cause I like driving with the windows down so I can hear the exhaust echo off of the walls and windows when I drive....
