would a 70 blazer axle work?

So I don't know much about axles but I found

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/pts/1426022332.html

and atm I have 4.11 in the rear and 3.73 up front so no 4 wheel drive for me.

I have a 73 k10 pickup. And what does pitting mean? as in he said that the gears have sings of pitting.. Only $100.....

Or this one I just found

http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/pts/1426008031.html

which is the better pick?

Re: would a 70 blazer axle work?

blazer rear axles are narrower than the rear axles on your pick by somewhere around 2 inches on each side. and for the pitting on the gears that sounds like to me that the axles sat for a good amount of time and have rust pitting on them. I would defiantly go for the 3/4 ton pickup axles in my personal opinion but that is just me. Happy shopping

You could always just regear your front or rear axle depending on what gearing you want (3:73, or 4:10)
