Drove it drove it drove it

Drove the 66 to drop the grill, radiator support and a few other odds and ends to the powder coater, then to a friends to drink a brew.

It was great

Nice I like it. Love the wheel choice. It is more rewarding when done by yourself. Very clean.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

Truck wouldn't start yesterday, so I charged the battery all night. Put it in this morning and, click, click. Had it checked and it was at 58 amps after being charged all night. So I bought a new battery and put it in. Started right up, then my alternator light was on. Took out the voltage reg and put in another one I had and the alternator light went out. So...I think it's ok for now. I'm hoping the battery was the worst of it.

I bought them 3-4 years ago and I think it was Brothers Trucks, I ordered the bumper at the same time. I have seen them other places so they are out there, you could Google for them I think they are called splash pans, good luck...Vernski

I did exactly nothing except watch the rain fall...the trucks outside with no garage or canopy to work under. Maybe it will stop raining by July...

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

i'm doing the 14 bolt conversion on the rear , the front disc brake conversion on the front, the power steering and putting hydro boost on it as well, i got it all off a 1987 1 ton truck that i bought for $600. there was a new p/s gear box put on , new tie rods , idler arm , pittman arm , centerlink , new booster hoses, a new p/s pump, new brakes up front and calipers , i scored big time getting that chassis. and i'll scrap the frame and get some money back. NICE.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I installed my sway bar today. I used the dropped mounts since the front of my truck is low. I ran into no issues on the installation. Everything went smooth just like discussed on the board. My bar is the 1 1/16' off of a 1984 c-10.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?

I don't get to work on my truck today as we have friends coming over, but I get to show it off and talk about it a little. I opened the door and remembered I got the 64 Utah plates for it. I figure since they're green and it's St. Patrick's Day, I'll post a picture.

Everyone be safe and smart out there today.
