Carpet needed.....

Ok so this weekend I decided Id go ahead and strip out the interior of my daily driver blazer and redo the floors. When I started my floors were bare no insulation,no carpet nothing but rust holes on the drivers side... Passengerside was done about a year ago but needed finishing in the toe area.. So I skuffed up the floors to spray some shake and shoot bedliner on it then put the fat mat over that and now Im needing carpet to put over that.. So where have you bought your carpet for these blazers that actually lasted in the sun.. Btw im headding to reno on friday so I really need to get this done asap....

Re: Carpet needed.....

Acc carpeting has lasted here in AZ. I have it in all my trucks. I use the 60-40 loop carpet like origional. They even will special make it for late model trucks. I like the loop better than the fuzzy stuff. The Blazer carpet comes with the whhel wells.

Re: Carpet needed.....

It does not include tailgate carpet, but you can order extra material and have them bind the carpet in the dimensions you specify to put on the tailgate. Order directly from ACC by calling them. Automotive Custom Carpet.

Re: Carpet needed.....

is this for a 2wd? I have a new set of black carpet for a low hump that I'm not using. You can pick it up in Sacramento on your way to Reno, for 1/2 my original purchase price. This is the set from LMC It ust a little dusty from being taken out of the box and the stored in my dusty garage.

I bought mine from ACC too, but its still in the box. No tailgate carpet in the set either. Didn't really think about covering it. Frenchy, have you gotten yours yet?

How did you like your carpet, was it easy to install, I mean was it a close fit? Did you glue it down? Did you use fatmat or similar behind it?

Your blazer looks like the twin to mine

I bought the ACC carpet as well in the original 60-40 loop. Looks like good quality carpet with thick wool type matting underneath. Although I can't comment on fitment as of yet, I'm still waiting for the new seat cover to arrive before I rip it all apart.

Re: Carpet needed.....

The fitment ACC carpet is perfect. I was surprised how well if fit. It really fit perfectly, much better than I had expected. My only compliant was where the plastic cover to protect the carpet from heel wear near the gas and brake pedals. ACC placed the cover about 8 inches closer to towared the drivers door than the original location.

The carpet faded faster than expected as well. I don't have a top on my Blazer though, so I expected some fading, just not as much. I plan on replacing the carpet every 4-5 years if it keeps fading as badly.

That's good to hear. I noticed the kit also comes with carpet to cover the rear wheel wells. Something that wasn't done originally on our blazer,,,but it's a nice touch.

I probably won't have to worry much about fading, as the roof has never been off this blazer, and I'm not that anxious to be honest The original carpet is still in the blazer and really hasn't faded much, but it's worn in a few spots. I'll probably get another 37 years out of the new set
