Turn Signal Switch - Original VS Replacement

LMC and other compnaies sell two types of Turn Signal switches: "Original Style" and "Replacement Style w/ Adapter". I noticed that places like Autozone sell only the "Replacement Style w/ Adapter".

How does the "Replacement Style w/ Adapter" fit and work? Anyone use one of these? Is the flasher switch the same?

Re: Turn Signal Switch - Original VS Replacement

They work the same, I'm sure, they just don't look stock. I have "replacement style" cigarette lighter in my '67 and it looks a little different, but it works fine, and someday I might replace it with the repro one.

The only other major difference is the hazard knobs on the ones we carry. The original style have a red knob as the replacement have the little tube like knob on them kinda similiar to the later 73-87 models. And of course there is an adaptor harness that is included that goes from a flat style connector to the round style that the 67-72 trucks need.

This is the replacemenet style:

And the original style that we carry:

The original style is the only way to go. It makes for a neater install and it looks more original. I got mine from Classic Parts and it works great.
