How do they install/work?

Scootin 81 - A linelock is when the front brakes are depressed only, drag racers use em for burnouts.

It's basically an electric valve you put in the brake line. You can install them one of two way.

1: Place it on the line to the front so you can press the brake then hit the switch to prevent the pressure from returning to the Master cylinder.

2: Place it in line with the rear so you can turn it on and direct pressure only to the front wheels.

Here is mine. It is a rebuildable Biondo line lock
Since I still use a column shifter, I mounted things within reach. The first one is a fuel shut off, the middle is for the line lock, and the third is for the trans brake.

yes all it is,is holding the brake pressure in the brake lines,so you pump up the brakes hit the linelock switch and let your foot off the brake to do a burnout,and you can hit the switch right befor your done and roll forward.

Would installing a linelock on a non-posi truck allow it to do a posi style burnout since the rear brakes wouldn't be on?

No. An open diff truck (non posi) spins the right rear tire because that is where the torque goes down to. Linelock doesnt change the way the torque goes.

it works good
its just a universal and i made my own lines

That's weird. My truck spins the left rear while the right rear catches traction. Why?!?!?!

right side got more weight ? mine with a full tank of gas spins the right side tire,but when its low it spings my left

that doesn't always work... i know my hurst was more of a one way valve.. you could pump pressure into it even though it's on but it wont come back out.

it could be your brakes on the right side they might be too tight
back them off and see what happens

Ok, I'll try that. I wouldn't think it's weight because the only thing on that side is my spare tire and that wouldn't be that much of a difference. So maybe if I back that off, I may have posi?

no your right wheel will spin instead of your left one
thats what mine did when i had an open diff

but you could try backing off the brakes
