69-70 Chevy C-20 Hubcaps

Does anyone have a color code for the blue bowtie in the center of a 69-70 Chevy hubcap? Buddy has some '73 hubcaps he wants to paint. Thanks!

Does it have a paint code?

Just take the bowtie to home depot and have them scan it. The paint should come out so close that you wouldn't hardly be able to tell the difference even with them side by side.

Thats a good ideal. I will try that next time when I am restoring a hubcap. Thanks!

Can Home Depot supply the paint you need once they have a formula?I go to auto paint suppliers to have colors scanned, mixed in automotive paint, and put into a spray can.

i love those "telephone company" hubcaps (so named because the telephone and utility company trucks always had those).

Re: 69-70 Chevy C-20 Hubcaps

I've just about finished a set myself. I used PPG # 14839 mixed in a spray bomb from the local paint jobber.

Hope this helps.

Here's a quick snapshot...
