Long time member joins 67-72 crowd
So I know what you are thinking. It's a 67 cab with a 72 front end and a 68 or later bed. So what, is it cool or what? I love it! maybe some day I will go one way or the other but for today (the day I got it) I am mezmorized by it just sitting in my drive way. It is lifted with 17" wheels and 35" tires. It looks awesome to me. What do you think?

Me likey. Nobody will notice the changes except for those of us that know a little too much about these trucks.
Does it have buckets in it? It kind of look like it in the pics.

Re: Long time member joins 67-72 crowd
It does have buckets at the moment but since we are a family of 3, the bench will be back soon.
Thanks guys, it seems to me that everyone will notice right away. That back window jumped out at me when I first saw it. I still love it though!

Re: Long time member joins 67-72 crowd
Hey Jebb1978 ... Very nice truck. Day pictures would be better but what I can see I like. You will find many trucks on this Site built with many other model parts and we still like them all. Oh yes... and from Ohio.

Re: Long time member joins 67-72 crowd
I hate these "buy-in" types coming into our club with their nice trucks like they lust bought expecting to be instantly accepted as if they`ve earned it the hard way like the rest of us.Don`t you guys? No?It`s all good?Yeah, that`s what I`m sayin`."Welcome to the club!" and "Nice truck!" .

Re: Long time member joins 67-72 crowd
Very nice..... I am just used to seeing my LWB, or maybe the angle, but it looks like the bed was shorten a few inches. Like a bob tail or something. It may also be the sugar coated crack I may have ingested. Anyways, welcome to our neighborhood.

Re: Long time member joins 67-72 crowd
Special K, she is not as clean as she looks from 15-20 feet away. This is a driver quality ride for sure. Some rust in the bed, a good amount of less than perfect body filler work and some Checker Auto custom off the shelf parts make her what she is. All and all it's a ride to be proud of in my opinion but I am big on things being done the way they came from the factory or at least close enough to fool the average joe. One day I will dig in to this one but not today, I have a 59 to finish up before I do any major work to this one. My only projects in the near future are an original bench seat and vintage air before summer comes around. That's it unless I find a super cheap 67 front clip.
Day photos

Re: Long time member joins 67-72 crowd
I like it alot, orange too, one of my favorite colors on our trucks! While most of us will catch that it is pieced together, it's still a great looking truck. I'd be proud to have it, perfect example of recycling at its finest!

Hey Jebb, with the Antique plates, do you have to get emissions-tested in Maricopa?

Re: Long time member joins 67-72 crowd
Sure do, 1966 or older are exempt but this one's got to test. Anything 25 years old + can get the plate but there is no real benefit to having them, they just look cool.
