my new Engine
just got my engine done. 327 + .30, camelback heads ,4bcarb, fat cam. realy goes. what do you guys think. i am thinking about adding more chrome you know to make it go faster.

thats awesome man, i dont think id change it a bit, hey are those heads camel humps? sorta hard to tell....doesnt look like your alt bracket is bolted to that far head in the pic, i have camel humps on my 327 and my alt bracket bolts to the exhaust manifold, it sorta sucks cause i wouldnt mind some headers sometime, how can i get around that problem?

67Cst those are camel humps and my alt bracket is attached with the top bolt that attaches the water pump to the block. that was the only way i could find to put headers on it.

Only thing I would change would also be the black valve covers. Everything else looks very clean and well thought out!!

What kind of Valve covers are those? Never seen a high rise stock valve cover, so... Lol. Nice motor.

im not sure what type they are . got them out of summit, just some cheap ones. going to chrome soon.

Yea. I dont know what you guys are talkin about. I love those valve covers, but needs more black. that's all. Chrome, no. Thumbs down. Too hard to keep clean and too icky.

What kind of headers? Any clearance problems?

I run the glass filter, but I made it hard tube up to the ends of the filter inside the hose. No movement, only possible fire hazard there is if a gasket leaks.
Chevy Kid: What kind of carb do you have that the fuel line goes into the left side? Haven't seen a water temp line in the right front like that either.

the carb is a holley 600cfm . not sure about water temp line
