Best reproduction parts

Wondering who you think sells the best and has the best support for repo parts.
I've used Mar-K and Brothers Trucks for my '51 and had good luck with them. I know there a quite a few with the biggest being, Brothers, Jim Carter, Classic Parts, LMC and American Classic. It's time for something new so I'm starting to look for fenders, running boards, etc. as well as other parts for my '50. If I can't find any good solid fenders or running boards I'll have to buy some repo's and have heard about some issues on quality/fitment of some. Pretty sure I'll be going with a Mar-K bed though. Just looking for some feed back.... Thanks

Re: Best reproduction parts

We are putting a 53 Chevy back together with ALL new sheetmetal, The Mar-K bed is great and heavy ga. metal. (the bed is the only items from Mar-k) I can NOT say that for the hood and fenders front and rear, running boards and hood, I think they were re-boxed from dynacorn. We are having some fittment problems with the hood fitting both the V in the cowl and the front at the core support, They look good but they are very thin and light weight. Check the shipping weight of the new and old fenders and you will see what I mean!

I'm pretty happy with Mikes Bumpandgrind garage and the truckandcarshop.com .

Re: Best reproduction parts

one fix for the light weight of some repro panels,,,, if it is to be a driver ,,is to take them and have the underside coated with rhino liner or linex bedliner
I esp likethe linex with the gloss agent added
gives a hard semi gloss finish
but the Rhino is perhaps a little thicker and what iused on underside of back fenders

Re: Best reproduction parts

Well, I received my parts yesterday from Classic Parts of America. I can honestly say that I'm impressed with the quality of the folds and sheetmetal. Using a thickness gauge, every piece came in at 18 gauge. Lest to say it will match up quite nice with the old stuff and I just ordered a couple more today.

Looking forward to welding them in during Xmas holidays!

Cheers,
Ted.
