Has anyone put a pedal oper ebrake in a 67 68

I am just curious if it is possible. It looks like my fuse block is in my way

I would also like to know this. I`m not crazy about the the big tractor lever. It can be done, just to what extent of fabrication is involved with it.

the hand lever operated E-BRAKE is just one more of the SUPER COOL feature's of a 67 68 chevy truck and I CAN'T IMAGINE changing it , heck that would be like taking my three on the tree shifter out and putting it in the floor EEEK!

Re: Has anyone put a pedal oper ebrake in a 67 68

We are wondering the same thing. Bumping this back to top to see if there are any success stories out there (apart from swapping firewall sections). Is there an easy, bolt in and go solution? How about the Lokar foot brakes? Anyone retro fit one of those to the 67-68s?

Re: Has anyone put a pedal oper ebrake in a 67 68

you have to rotate the fuse panel 90*. they are rotated on 69-72 trucks to clear

Interesting. Is that it? Does it require a different exit point through the firewall? I don't have my truck right now to visualize it. And I'm assuming a different cable setup for the section leaving the cab...

Yes, but need to make sure the wires are long enought to rotate, I have not tried it yet. Same exit point. The foward ebrake cable is different and will be required to use one from a 69-72 as well as make a new exit hole for it.
