69 C10 Rear End

I am new to the forum and need some advise. Have a 69 C10 and I'm looking at purchasing a posi rear end for it. I can purchase a 1994 firebird formula rear end for it. My question is will this work or will it require a lot of modification.

Re: 69 C10 Rear End

It would be a lot of work, and then you'd have a lame weak rear end under your truck.

Re: 69 C10 Rear End

Thanks for the info. What would be the best way to go for a rear end? Should i purchase the rear end for the disc brake setup?

Re: 69 C10 Rear End

WELCOME FROM FLORIDA

best would to use the truck rear that's in it now and get a posi unit installed//therrs disc conveersions available too
you'd need to convert the fronts first then you need different master cyl/prop valve and new brake lines hoses and parking brake setup

Re: 69 C10 Rear End

Thanks again. I have looked at that process also. Looking to find an all in one solution. Have heard that there is a certain year of Camaro or Firebird rear end that will bolt into the C10 that has disc brakes, is there any truth to this?
