Is this worth picking up
The only reason I would haul it home is to part it out. Does it have enough parts to make it worth it? What do you see??

Re: Is this worth picking up
The big block is worth some cash. How much are they asking? What is there? Is the metal solid? Is that your van behind it?

Re: Is this worth picking up
I lifted the hood and it now has a small block. Its at a scrap yard and I think I can trade a scrap car for it--- if it's worth the effort.

Re: Is this worth picking up
Looks like lots of good parts there. Even the sheet metal doesn't look bad. I would buy the emblems and choke delete if that helps your decision...

Re: Is this worth picking up
I have bought one that looked way worse than that just for the rear axle and front disc brakes, and I managed to part it out. You should have no problem. If shipping doesnt kill it put me in line for the chrome trim from the grille, and the headlight buckets

Re: Is this worth picking up
When Parting a pickup here, whats the best way to keep from having a total mess with questions and replies and just lookers? List one part at a time?? I see alot of questions and requests for more pictures, then close ups only to follow with " I'll pass". This is fine, but-- How is the best way to keep order?

Re: Is this worth picking up
Since you need to post prices for everything it's usually best to picture and price separately or as "parts lots" keep all communication in the thread (none in pm's) and if you're posting on craigslist/ebay also let people know up front.

Re: Is this worth picking up
If you do I'm in line for the shifter pointer.
Like said before keep all prices and inquiries on the board use PM for shipping address and payment details. You could post several items and photos on a single post , then list prices in a lot with a number or letter to identify the lot, so when we ask for a part , then we can refer to that lot number. Example I'm in for shift pointer lot 1) Makes it easier for you to track also

Re: Is this worth picking up
You don`t have to list it all at once.Pull the stuff off, then list it in seperate threads you can handle.Once it`s down to the carcass you can show what`s left, list some prices, and take requests.

Re: Is this worth picking up
Good advice... Also remember there is a what it is worth section that may help you on items you are unsure of. Good Luck. Eric
