Re: Would anyone use or does anyone have these headlights?

I personally wouldn't use those. Looking at how they are made- it looks like they are only a simulated projector "look", not a true functioning projector headlamp. My guess would be that these scatter the light quite a bit and actually perform worse than a good sealed beam unit. I would pony up the extra scratch and get set of E-code Hella's or go "big-ticket" with some Valeo-Sylvania Xe7R HID's.
I wouldn't mess with anything less than premium quality when it comes to my nighttime vision.

I was thinking about trying these if I feel like spending money like a retard someday. They a close to $400 each IIRC. Heres a link https://www.truck-lite.com/webapp/wc...0001&langId=-1

Re: Would anyone use or does anyone have these headlights?

I got a set from LMC that I really like. They are the Euro style with a smooth lens and use the newer replaceable bulbs. Much brighter and improved vision. I almost driving my car with sealed hallogens now.

Re: Would anyone use or does anyone have these headlights?

I purchased mine about a year ago. They were installed once after modifing the original headlight buckets. (The hole in the back of the buckets needed to be opened to 3 1/2inches.This is a nice large picture => http://www.ipcw.com/images/productim...C-7007_big.jpg

Model and Info:
Adjure
7" Round Diamond-Cut
W/ Tri-Bar, Blue Dot, & H4
(CWC-7007)

Would have prefered the black dots though. I think I paid just under $200 for the pair.

I do like them, Taiwan parts but I like the way they are constructed.

The ones you list, I think would look out of place.

Note: On my '70 C10 the try-bar does not line up evenly from the left headlight to right headlight. The try-bar is offset because of the way they install using the alignment tabs.

Re: Would anyone use or does anyone have these headlights?

I had a set of ones like that and the glue melted around the "projector" lens in the first day or so that I ran them. One came with the lens already out of the holder and they sent me another one but it didn't last long. The light pattern was pretty funky too.

$200?!?
$400?!?
?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!???????????????????????

You said it brother. These headlight 'upgrades' are like spending money like a developmentally challenged individual.

1. Upgrade your stock wiring by searching this forum for 'headlight relay upgrade'.
2. Purchase sealed beam halogens from Wal*Mart for $10 - $15 per side.
3. If you ever experience a headlight break or burnout you are a Wal*Mart and $10-$15 away from getting back on the road.

If you purchase these 'upgrade' headlights from some fly-by-night ebay/internet headlight place what are you gonna do when you break one?
I know, purchase another PAIR from another fly-by-night company for another $400. Now you are $800 into your 'upgrade' while the guy that went with Wal*Mart halogens is $20-$30 into the same thing. We're talking a $750 difference here folks.

I've put together well performing 350 cu. in. engines for less than that difference.

It is up to you I guess. Well aimed, sealed beam halogens throw off one heck of a lot of light when supplied with battery voltage through a relay. You're gonna need relays and upgraded wiring to run those aftermarket ones anyways.

i saw some from LMC that i was going to get, they were just sort of 'euro' looking ones. projectors are known for their good lighting especially with HID's. I've thought about retrofitting a projector into one of the headlight housings, im surprised someone hasnt already? if people are interested enough I can make some and try them out.

Maaaaan please.....$400 per light. Ha!! I'd kick my own arse to the moon if I spent $800 on headlights. While they may be a good, shood, I mean a great light, I just think there is other ways and places to spend money on my truck than a pair of $800 lights. No disrespect to anyone. But, you got to think...what are you gonna do when it's time to get another if something happens to one of them like a crack. I know for a fact there are lights just as good for a 1/3 of that price.

I did just that about 6 years ago. The "new to me" low beams were as bright as my high beams used to be.

Re: Would anyone use or does anyone have these headlights?

I was thinking about these also at LMC...
http://www.lmctruck.com/features/CB/CBEL2.htm

If I read this right, you can just replace the Headlight...correct?

No need to change the wirring, unless you WANT to...correct?

I'd like to replace the Headlights in my 72 GMC and put in the Blue Bulbs.

Has anyone bought/installed these?

Roger

Re: Would anyone use or does anyone have these headlights?

i think you need to change the harness. the 7" plug wont work for those bulbs unless they have an adapter that comes with the harness.
