I need the all elusive black shoulder belts to complete my parts list for my build. I will pay well for them. Let me know what you have.

Also, I know that there is someone who reproduces them...if you know, let me know.

hens teeth.... Gary aka Cheyenne Superman reproduces them, though no one reproduces the correct shoulder harness cover. Most use the corvette cover. Trevor

Gary's sets are very nice. Finding a set of originals and in black is going to be tough, old ambulances are a good source for them (if you can find an old ambulance).

Do Gary's sets look like the OEM belts (except for the boots)?

Yes, but the boots are what make the belt IMO. The belts will fly around on you without the correct boots. Trevor

They hold them in place, but the original truck boots have a slot in them for holding the male end back in a loop so it isn't just swaying in the wind. Trevor

I bought a set of Garys and was impressed with the belts but not the boots. Gary's boots are completely wrong, they are to short and no dimple to hold the buckle. If you get a set buy all of the belts, including the original lap belts. I bought just the shoulder belts and they didn't match my blue lap belts very well. Sold it all after the first person at a show pointed that out.

By how much is Gary's set too short? Does it look bad? Does anyone have any pictures of his compared to the OEM truck boots?

Actually Gary's set up is very nice, if an "expert" did not point it out you would noy know the difference. Getting the entire set so all match is good advice. Call him and he will email you photos and info.

Gary also rebelts the units- the difference is original has three lines, new belts have 5 lines. Also the belts Gary does do not have the original type instruction sticker on the lower portion of the belt, visible in the picture of Joe's Junk truck. As said previously Gary's boots are corvette boots that do not have the retaining dimple, the belt is held in place by friction only no the dimple. Most people will not know the difference as they do not know these were even an option. If you will pm leddzepp, he has a set i sold him a while back that he was going to dye (they were red) and I have a set I am using in my 4x4 that I got in trade from hugger cst that I dyed black. I will dig them out if you want to see. Harold

The boot on the left is the one I got from Gary, the one on the right is the corvette boot and is the same length as the original truck boots but doesn't have the nub that holds the buckle.
If you're in to detail (sorry, I am) you don't want Garys boots. Again his belts are very nice, but had I saw a picture of his boots before buying I wouldn't have spent the money on them. He didn't have a picture when I wanted to buy but assured me they were just like the originals except for the nub. Make your own choice, I just wanted you to see what we are talking about. There is also a man who reproduces the labels and they can be added to a set of belts to make them look perfectly original.

They are NOS. They are for 73/74, but look the same. I actually have other board member who is checking for an NOS black pair for me...I am hoping he has some. Keeping my fingers crossed.

As far as the beige set, I got both of the shoulder belts, anchors, and attaching hardware. But what is all needed for a "COMPLETE" set? What are those plastic cups in post #16 by Chipflyer?

I had watched these for about 2 1/2 months on ebay. If they would have been a color compatible with 67-72 like black, green, red, or definitely blue, you wouldn't have had a chance. Good score, they aren't easy to find in popular colors.

The plastic cups you see in Jeff's post are what the female ends go into on a bucket seat truck. There is debate whether those types like Jeff's are the ones used, or the type me and Jeff run on our trucks which are what are shown in the assembly manual. Trevor
