Re: 20" dodge spares on my chevy?? Help!!

Looks like the Dodge wheels are 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern, Chevy is 5 on 5. Adapters are available but not cheap.

5 bolt

ouch $130 a pair.......

spares must be $200 for 4

under $500 for a set of new 20's is pretty cheap if they fit

C10addict was going to run them on his 67 but didn't because they weren't going to fit well with his drop and the stepside fenders w/out modification....

Re: 20" dodge spares on my chevy?? Help!!

Jeff, that's my beater. they are 6 x 5.5 lug steelies from the new FJ Cruisers and they will bolt right up to your rig. I had no issues with the disc brake or drum brake interference and, since your truck is hammered, you can tuck these with or without spacers. use standard acorn nuts, and your good.

they are 17" x 7.5" with an approx. 5.25" backspace.

I got mine an Ebay, but you should try salvage yards AND Toyota dealerships. some people will order an FJ "plainjane", but have the dealership install TRD or custom rims and tires. the dealership then either shelves them or sell them.

good luck!

Re: 20" dodge spares on my chevy?? Help!!

Thanx Doug...

what is the stock size tire on these?? and what color did they come?? I'm old school so black works perfect, I think I saw a set that where OEM and where so I'm half way done.....

Of course I want as wide a sneaker in back I can get.....what would you recommend without the spacers..or what do you have then I can feed that Info into My tire calculator to get the righ height (29.5") for the front to clear my inner fenders...in back I may go for a bit of rake and a taller side wall

I think I will need to hunt for a trim ring for them though?? kinda like the look I have just want to hide a little more tire

thanx great NEW idea

one more quick ?? What is your set up in the front?? I have cupped LCA and bags with a 2.5" C notch in the rear.....Just woundering if I will sit the same as you??

Re: 20" dodge spares on my chevy?? Help!!

Jeff,
actually, these rims were originally black.... and a nice coat of black at that. I just scuffed them, hit them with a PPG primer, and then a single stage clear coat gray.

as far as wide goes, I'd have to defer to more of a tire expert. however my guess would be that you could probably go to 10.5" wide? I know I ran 11.5" wide tires on a set of 8" rims years ago.

the tire sizes are 225/55/17. want to be able to tuck them after I get the air ride installed......

and, as far as my drop, here it is:
front:
McGaughys 2.5" drop spindles
Suicidedoors drop in cups (shaved 5/8") with stock lower control arms
Dominator D2600 bags
Shocks (who knows)
rear:
CPP bolt in c-notch
3" custom made drop blocks
ECE adjustable panhard bar
ECE shock relocators
Shock (who knows)
Dominator D2600 bags

the pic above is of the tire just in contact with the inner fender. with cupped lower control arms like you have, you should be lower than I.

YOu should hit Big al 71 up, since he runs a toyota dealership. I'm sure he can hook you up with a set of FJ wheels

I think we maybe even due to your drop spindles...I will say My inners are gone with my 235/75 on...but I can lay the LCA on my x memeber....spindes would put me into the other issues...so this will give me the tucked look with out having to other stuff

I have a tire cal I'll post when I get home again ( f'n snow) then you can play with the # if you want
