Molding Problems

I purchased aftermarket tail light bezels and the chrome molding for the tailgate and metal clips. When I try to push the molding and the clips in the molding wants to bend and the clips won't pop. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Those bezels are pretty flimsy. I drilled my holes out just a little so the clips would go in easier. Be careful, if you drill them out too much the clips won't stay in...

Re: Molding Problems

X2 with Lockdock. The side moldings aren't much better aftermarket. I bought the whole kit top, bottom tailgate every thing from LMC. They give you decent clips for the top long pieces but for the front fender they have nuts on the inside. I ordered another 12 rear top bed moldin clips and used them on the front fenders and things went much better and they are easier to remove if I need to. Headliner trim isnn't any better either.Good luck with the aftermarket trim.

I have the same problem with those on my crew cab build, ordered some from mark-k and will see how they fit, better I hope.
