Question Electrical problem with a 64' Chevy Fleetside.

I just recently bought this truck and it came with an ignition switch problem. Also a ignition wire harness burned out from the firewall to the starter. i was wondering if some one has any diagrams or some words of advice. They also changed it to a 1 wire alternator. i don't know what to do. I'm open for any suggestions.

Hilander's 60-66 chevy trucks site

click on wiring diagrams.

Also, check out the 60-66 FAQ's link at the top of this forum.
