Brake Booster/Master Cylinder for 1-ton, disc conversion - Suggestions?

I'm looking for some product guidance here. There's brake master cylinder/booster assemblies available everywhere for 3/4 and 1/2 ton trucks, but not much found for 1-ton. I think clearance of tall valve covers limits me to stock/existing booster size.

I am looking for a complete assembly with proportioner.
Could you experienced folks point me towards one?

Truck details, to the best of my knowledge:
'70 Longhorn, 1-ton, single rear wheel
Bolt in disc conversion from another year Chev truck (4-wheel disc)
BBC 400, "Custom Camper 30"
Tall valve covers
Don't carry a camper or loads above 800lbs

The existing MC is partially visible in the pic. It's leaking like its made of swiss cheese. Don't want to rebuild; new ones aren't that expensive.

Hydroboost.
Do a search, if I recall Yukon Jack had a good write up on it, maybe AJ too.

Someone on this forum has been producing and advertising booster/MC setups for sale, and I think they have the double diaphragm type you would want for the C30. They may also have the disc brake prop valve to sell along with the setup If not, you normally can find such a prop valve on here.

As for booster can size, I have seen two double diaphragm sizes - one is larger diameter and not as deep - the other is a smaller diameter can and a bit deeper. I was lookinf at a for sale booster from a guy on here and he did not seem to know if he had a DD type - so I posted some pics for him in his thread. You can see those pics by going to his sale thread - parts for a 1969 1 ton - in Phx/Mesa area - tkorinek is his screen name, I think.

Give a call to Power Brake Exchange in San Jose (408-292-1305) and talk with Michael the owner. I have bought many brake components from him. He knows his stuff and has fair prices. He will help you.

PS: PBE also has a place in Bell Gardens (562-806-6661)

whats wrong with the booster you have now?
All you need to do is locate a master cylinder for a 4 wheel disc vehicle, run the distsabution valve you have now, and if proportioning is needed, get an adjustable one and plumb it in line going to the rear.

Great advise! Thanks, RCRCRAN and CCCC. Looks like I can loacte the right size, and maybe even keep it local. If you guys vouch for them, I'm in!

The one pictured above is a mess. Do I want to put in the time to make sure the diaphragm is undamaged by fluid and rebuild a grungy old MC? No, I do not. The brake lines are a hand bent mess from the PO. I'm looking for nice neat little coils and 90 degree bends in stainless.

A new one is inexpensive, clean, and easy to install.
