Re: Dome and Cargo light not working

Does the dome work when using the dimmer switch? If so then its your door jamb switches.

Re: Dome and Cargo light not working

Mine wasn't working at one time. After posting the issue on here and getting a reply, I checked and found that I had pushed the button on my light switch ass'y and turned the light off.....myself. Don't know if that is an issue on your truck, but thought I'd mention it.

Re: Dome and Cargo light not working

His doesn't have the dome override switch. Have you dissassembled the cargo/third brake light assy? Mine was screwing up and blowing the fuse, and when I pulled the assy apart, it was rotten. The dome was barely coming on and if you cupped your hands around the cargo light, you could see the bulb filaments barely glowing.

Re: Dome and Cargo light not working

Mine melted the entire wire for it, had a short in the wire and didnt know it, got it my truck one day at work and smelt burnt plastic and stuff, melted the fuse, melted a hole in the plastic piece at the bottom of the cab by the door and slightly damaged the fusebox.... guess im lucky it didnt burn the whole truck down.....

anyway, the short version is, play it safe and unplug the wire from the plug box on the floor board until you get the chance to figure it out, or major headaches could arise
