Cross Over Steering Question

thanks guys for your help. I called AGR and they said that changing out the shaft might not be as easy as removing the four bolts and pulling the shaft out, due to their box designs. he said it had to do with what generation of box it was when they built it?? that doesnt make alot of sense to me, however it would cost less than $100 for them to swap out the shaft.
