How do I get this stance?

Hey guys, I am pretty new to this forum. I have owned my 1987 R10 for about 6 months now and I love it. I recently put new wheels on it and now it is time to get it to sit right. The first two pictures are the stance I want and the last one is how my truck sits currently. We are both running similar wheel and tire setups, 255/45R18 up front and 295/45R18 in the rear. What do I need to buy to get this stance (drop spindles, flip kit,...etc). I appreciate any help and information that anyone can provide. Thanks.

Re: How do I get this stance?

looks to be atleast a 5/6 drop, MAYBE a 6" drop in the front.

start with 3" spindles and 2" springs for the front and a flip kit and that should put you dang close

Re: How do I get this stance?

measure from the ground to the bottom of the fender in the wheel well, and then figure how low you want to go, lay a level across your tire and measure to it. see what you get or how low you want to go. if it 3" or 5" or what ever you want. then match your drop with a spindle or spindle plus spring, and do the same for the rear

Re: How do I get this stance?

Hi there,
nice truck you have there and i love the wheels!
For dropping to the desired stance it is best to make measurements and then buy the right parts!
Mine is dropped 4 and 6 inches with dropped spindles, springs and a flipkit. For a nice ride besides just looking good you should use some shorter shocks also!
I have all BellTech components and iīm very happy with them!
When you use a flipkit you also have to consider cutting a c-notch in the frame for enough axletravel!
I havenīt notched the frame but shortend the bumpstops and its ok!
The pics are with my 15x10" Eagles and the second one is with some 20x8s from a friend!

Re: How do I get this stance?

I did a little research, heres that setup versus mine..

Fronts-
his 255/45-18 27" diameter
mine 245/60-15 26.6" diameter

Rear-
his 295/45-18 28.3" diameter
mine 275/60-15 28" diameter

Mine has a flip kit in the rear, with drop spindles and one and a half coils cut off the factory springs. The drop/rake looks nearly the same and with the tires being very close to the same diameter its gonna be almost exactly the same. Also this setup rides extremely good (versus drop coils).. Sorry for the crappy pic but its dark and its the only one I have at the moment.

Re: How do I get this stance?

Yeah I would say between 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 drop in the front.. It sits nice and is enough to be noticed, but not so much that you drag on every crappy county road and city street.

Re: How do I get this stance?

No headers, I like the stock cast manifolds. This is just a stock cruiser.. I have a few minor performance upgrades, but the stock manifolds are staying on (less leaks and headaches). I do have the exhaust tucked above the bottom of the frame all the way back, just in case I hit a speedbump going too fast.

Re: How do I get this stance?

Here are a couple of pics of mine. It has a flip kit in the rear, and a 2 1/2" drop spindle in the front with a 2" belltech drop coil spring in the front. I actually have the same wheels, but i have the larger 1.25" rotor front end, so I am still waiting for the retooled front 18x8" 338's. I've had the 18x9.5" rears w/ a 295/45r18 on the truck, see pic to see how it fits with the flip.
