Point to HEI - Plug Gap?

When you change from a points distributor to an HEI do you have to change the gap of the plugs?

250 straight six - they are currently gapped at .035. Will I need to open that with the HEI or leave them as they are?

Re: Point to HEI - Plug Gap?

I did this swap on the 6 that was in my 68 & set the gap @ .045.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
