Re: New pic of the drop!
Very Nice! I like the LWB's dropped, what are the specs? Man that trail 70 brings back some memories for me as well. That was the bike I learned to ride on, still have a burn scar on my leg from when it fell on me lol, that thing seemed really heavy back then.
It started my obsession and a long list of broken bones. Nice resto on the 70!

Re: New pic of the drop!
Thanks for the comments everyone! I am pretty young and my dad got me into the Trail 70s, I love em, mine is also street legal and has a 140cc on it now.
As for the color, I cant remember what the kid called it who I bought it from, I can find out. Truck is dropped in the front 4.5" and 5.5" in the back. Front has drop spindles and drop springs, rear has drop springs and spacer blocks. This is how I bought it.

Re: New pic of the drop!
Thanks schmitty. I dont know about that lol, its a lot nicer than my first 72 but not perfect, and I drive it almost daily (cept in snow)
I got this drop stuff off my brothers truck that was just sitting in my dads back yard, he let one of his friends drive it one night and hit a curb, front end was never the same on that truck, but the spindles and springs were pretty much brand new. I just installed new upper and lower ball joints and new outer tie rods and got an alignment as soon as it was done. Drives like a champ.

Re: New pic of the drop!
I know this is the truck forum, but I have to share what has been taking all my time up lately. My 68 Impala build. Car is getting Air Ride.
20x8.5 and 20x10 Coy C5 with Nitto INVO. 275/35/20 on the fronts and 295/35/20 out back. Hotchkis rear upper and lower trailing arms and sway bars. Global West upper and lower tubular A arms. Stainless Steel Brakes on the front with 13" rotors and 4 piston calibers. Here is the frame as of Sat.

Re: New pic of the drop!
I'll have to say that you have that truck sitting just right. It looks like you have more hours in that Impala Chassis than some guys have in their whole rig.

Re: New pic of the drop!
The LWB is sitting just right, nice looking truck!
Now for the chassis.... that thing is amazing! Be sure to start a build thread in the Alternate Tinkerings portion of the board. That is going to be one beautiful build! BTW... love the shop!

Re: New pic of the drop!
What's your front tire size? I have a similar drop (maybe closer to 5") with 235/60/15s and I rub a little bit on full compression.

Re: New pic of the drop!
They are 235/70/15. I get some rubbing when I hit some bad bumps. I am going to replace them with a 245/60/15 and 275/60/15 for the rear soon.
