Water pump hose

Does anyone have any ideas what I could replace this crappy hose with? I mean is there anyone making a specific & more decorative hose out there for this?

Re: Water pump hose

Nigel,
I know Classic Industries produces a specific big block water pump bypass hose like that. It is the correct bend angle and length.

You may try your favorite board vendor, I'm sure they would have something as well.

Good luck, Mate!!

Re: Water pump hose

Thanks Doug, just had a look, the one they keep seems to just have a slight curve as appossed to a 90 degree, which it looks like it should be.

Re: Water pump hose

Braided hose seems to be the best option here as far as making it look a little better. I suppose I was hopeing that there was some sort of Billet type Elbow that would connect the two instead of 5" of hose.

Thanks guys....

Re: Water pump hose

That looks like a short water pump to me, but might want to see what the big block experts have to say.

Re: Water pump hose

It looks like a short pump. If there is no space between the water pump & the timing cover, then it is a short pump. Long pumps have about 1/2 to 3/4 inch between the pump & the timing cover. SBC are the same as BBCs.

Re: Water pump hose

If you can put your fingers between the timing cover and water pump it's a long pump. If not it's a short pump.
