Re: My 76

That floor looks good. Before you put sound mat on it and carpet, put a layer of "Lizzard Skin" down to help cut down on heat.

Re: My 76

I need some help on what I should do. Here are some pics of were I welded the rocker panel and I dont know how I should smooth it out. Should I just use filler? Or what?

I could live with the door jam part not being smooth, but the outer part that people see needs to be perfect.

Also, what should I do about these two areas, its the passenger side door jam. I fixed the rust in the area, but the metal is pitted. Should I just leave it alone or should I fill it with something? And if I should fill it, what should I use to fill it with?

Re: My 76

The holes in the rocker, I'd weld them up because if you use filler, 5-10 years down the road it'll crack and be worse than you are now. Just my .02.

Re: My 76

Keep welding them over man, you dont want any gaps in your weld for the filler to crack or even get moisture in. Keep welding them then smooth them out by a little grinding and sanding them down

Re: My 76

Well, Hi there! back online, I was in internet jail for a while. I was looking for a vacuum hose diagram, clicked on a link and all H-E-Double hockey sticks broke loose.
Glad to see that you managed to get your floor together. As for the rockers and door jambs, if you think that your welding is solid and strong, you can use a premixed fiberglass (like I posted earlier) as a first coat to help seal out moisture.

Re: My 76

Here is where I am starting at this morning. Im hopeing to be hanging the doors by Tuesday.

I do got a question about my doors. Do I need to paint them, then hang them, and then put all the window stuff in? Or in what order should I do this?
